Things to Do
This is the perfect location to explore both north and south coasts. As said before, Porthleven is close by. The Minack Theatre at Porthcurno is a must. There are several National Trust properties and gardens. There is a fabulous river trip to Truro from Falmouth. There are plenty of golf courses. Sea Safari’s are available with the chance to see basking sharks and dolphins. The Jubilee Pool at Penzance is a favourite destination.

St Ives ~ 9 miles away (best visited by train from St Erth). Beautiful Beaches, Fantastic Food and a plethora of interesting shops.
Penzance, Marizion, St Michael’s Mount ~10 miles. Try and catch the Penzance Golowan Festival & Mazey Day in late June.
Land’s End ~ 24 miles. Iconic most western point of the mainland Britain.
Truro ~ 22 miles. Fantastic Cathedral and retail.
St Agnes ~ 18 miles. Beautiful North Coast village.
Newquay/Perranporth ~ 29 miles. Surfer’s paradise with a lively night life.
Port Issac ~ 50 miles. Home of Doc Martin and Fisherman’s Friends!
Falmouth ~ 15 miles . In August 2023 Falmouth will again host the spectacular Tall Ships Race! Or try and catch the International Sea Shanty festival in June.
Eden Project ~ 35 miles. Tropical gardens housed within a variety of different Biomes.
Minack Theatre ~ 23 miles. Fantastic spectacularly atmospheric open air venue which has featured many top acts and performances with the possibility of seeing Dolphins in the background.
